A very motivational verse for kiddies and one that I'm sure will hit the spot with that skilful repetition of 'opportunity' slightly altered in each line to press home the message. Nice rhyming in the last 2 lines off stanzas 1 and 2 and then 3 and 4. Well done and good luck! Debbie

There's a scripture that advises this. I will open doors no man can close, and I will close doors no man can open. Isaiah 22:22. I have experienced so many opportunities in life, and I've suffered fear of failure, but fear is to be overcome, beautifully written, blessings Roy

I would have liked some notes to help me understand what this opportunity is.
Maybe it doesn't matter. Maybe it is just any opportunity. I think it is
I interpret this as someone who has a great opportunity in life. That someone is telling himself that his opportunity should not be squandered or otherwise tarnished.
Then, He decides to embrace the opportunity. Luckily, his delaying his opportunity has not caused any issues.

Thanks for your review. As this is a poem for kids I did not see the need to state a specific opportunity. It could be an opportunity in work, school,life or whatever you want it to be.
