I think it's a great piece that says that you shouldn't settle for your limitations. With hope and energy, you can move mountains. You can accomplish anything you set your mind to. The specific examples of how she wrote these hymns, despite being blind, give the piece its character. estory

I always enjoy reading of such inspirational people. Although I have never previously heard of Fanny Crosby, your poem brings her to life for me. Thanks, too, for the interesting author notes.

So many beautiful hymns she wrote, and I love her positive attitude. How wonderful it is that she will see Him first of all. She had a real sense of His love, grace, power and sovereignty. Well done. best wishes for your entry.

I'm glad I read this inspirational poem about a woman who turned the hand she was delt into lifelong praise of God. I love the hymn, Blessed Assurance, and the video was a real blessing to listen to. Best wishes in the contest.

Author,
This is a truly inspirational poem.
It seems the more we have in life's struggles, the stronger we become.
Such a beautiful, memorable story.
Good luck in the contest.

Blessed assurance Jesus is mine. My first song was "I found your love". It is about finding Gods love after being alone and broken. Maybe I'll post the lyrics and chords someday. Thank you for the education.

"used the talent God gave her" Good for her. We should all do the same.
"God has a use for us all" Indeed He does, as none of His creations are useless.
Good abab rhyme scheme and reading flow.
Hope all people--kids and adults--are motivated by Fanny's story. Good luck in the contest.

This work has reached the exceptional level

My maternal grand father who came to the US from St. Thomas, the Virgin Islands, died in San Diego, California at the ripe old age of 102 years, His last name was Crosby. I doubt that there is a biological relation here, but the name Crosby, caught my attention immediately. Whether there is a relationship or not, I am proud of her accomplishment and the blessing she received despite her physical problems.
