Roses do have a wonderful magical scent. The riper they are (except when they're dead.) the sweeter the scent They are also more pleasing to the eye when they're ripe because they open up

In your poem there is nice imagery throughout until the last line. The last line is the result of the other lines. Taking things to their romantic conclusions
