Bill., this is a brilliant poem; I needed the laugh it brought! I'm looking forward to reading more of your work in the future.

It is amazing how we can accumulate single socks for one legged people, the problem is I have two feet. Heh, heh, the trick is to confine sock buying to just two colours black and white, then you're bound to team them up, well done Bill, great poem, blessings Roy

Hi
I don't know why, if you know where the missing socks are being used you don't pair them again so you don't have to buy new socks.
Good luck in the contest.
Keep writing and stay healthy
Have a great day.

This is a fun read. I never thought there were so many uses for a single sock. Nice rhyming and imaginative and entertaining images.
I'll have to go through my husbands sock drawer and see what I can come up with.
Good luck in the contest.

This was a good poem that describes many of the possible uses of socks. I did have a slight problem with the flow, but otherwise I found it to be very interesting.

Well this is interesting with lots of great uses for those single socks. And not a pair in sight! Your verse has a good, regular rhyming pattern and perfectly fulfils the brief with all those imaginative adventures. Well done and good luck! Debbie

Ciao poet, you now have 2 votes.
I liked the idea of odd socks having a second life and being used for another purpose.
My favourite one here was for the golf clubs.
Even used as potpourri bag for cupboards, shoe protectors or bed leg covers so your floor don't get are great options.

Yes, it is hard to keep them paired up.
This poem probably brings back memories to the reader.
Your picture, font and colors are very nice.
Good luck with the poem.

This is great, mystery poet, and really hilarious! I can certainly relate as a mother of all men and their socks. I have literally found them everywhere! In the gutter doesn't surprise me. A delightful, colorful offering and sure contender in this contest. Sending you my best today as always and my good wishes for the vote.

Thank you, Sally. Most of the examples were everyday life around here.

I like the way you take us down your path of discovery. I think maybe you've helped all of us to see socks as opportunities for new employment. At least when I'm looking for the other one, I have new ideas of where to look. I don't know that I'd use the one in the gutter though. Lol.
