It was just a bit of humor and not meant to upset anyone. I'm sure we've all had one or two of those days when we wonder why we are doing this at all, but then we settle down and tell ourselves its because its what we love to do. Thanks so much for your kind review.

I realize that "The Writers' Club" is a thinly veiled reference to FS, however, the picture you have used gives nothing away as it looks like how I imagine most of the members here look on the 1st of each month.

That is both an inspiring story and a wonderful portrait of any writer who has gotten frustrated with the contest. We get mad and take it out on our work and then do it all over again.

This was a humorous story. Writers can relate to this bit of craziness, and the mailman was probably scared for life. In any event, it was a good story, embarrassing for Jake, but one the townspeople won't soon forget.
