You have given us another delicious recipe surrounded by a vivid description of your early morning activity, your conversation with Todd, and your choice of meal prep drinks. The skewers sound delicious. I have a question.

"Build each skewer; starting strawberry, chicken, grape and chicken."

Do you include any pineapple cubes on the skewer with the chicken?

I'm sure your skewers were enjoyed by all.

Dang. You?re the only one who picked up on that (including me who?s read it so many times). The second chicken is supposed to be pineapple.
    How embarrassing!

    Thank you so much?

Too cute. Made me hungry! Noted a tiny thing...knowse, but may have been meant? The other one was to and my brain said too? (On to much Todd). Part of the charm of the lingo? Anyways, very good. Esther

Oh my, not only are you a great chef and dancer, you are an artist with food! It sounds delicious but also half a day's work. And that marinade sounds like diabetic's nightmare but I'm sure the honey really tenderized the meat. Thanks for sharing!!

You may have already fixed the need for the apostrophe here: son's

"Ginormous douche." LoL

You are my kind of chef, 3 pinĚ?a coladas! Music, and dancing. Sounds awesome. Your Hawaiian chicken skewers sound delicious.. buenisimo! I'm from Spain.. food , especially sharing it with good company, is an important part of our culture, I think it's the same in Italy. You always describe what you are doing so well... it's like being there (minus the pinĚ?a coladas)

Well done!

This was so well done, John. I loved the way you built the recipe into the story. Very creative. You and the wife seem to have a great time together and get quite a kick out of each other. That's nice to hear about.

This sounds like a great recipe too to join my collection of jmdg1954 originals. Can't wait to try it out. - Jim

Thank you for sharing this post with us. I had to go to Youtube and listen to Chantilly Lace before I continued this review. That's not fair. LOL

Thank you so much, Barbara. It?s not the first time you?ve heard Chantilly Lace?

I happen to love the song, just forgot about. I had to get up and do the 'wiggle' at the appropriate time. Yes, I'm a mess. Probably why I taught first grade for 26 years.

That?s a great age. My two youngest grandkids will be entering 1st grade come September.

Oh cheeky, John! Well this is a double whammy here: hilariously written story with that dialogue between you and Todd and, then, a recipe with all my favourite ingredients! This is an amazing treat! Love the dance on the deck or kitchen (did that really happen?) I can imagine it though because you're in a very jovial, relaxed mood. Think that should have been Geek. To(o) much Todd. Debbie's got the measure of you hasn't she!
A thoroughly enjoyable and informative read! Well done! Debbie

I just made a bagel and cream cheese. That's the extent of my cooking here. Sounds like you have a wonderful life, a loving wife, and good food. Many blessings from God.

This is one of my favorites. It's really easy and the marinate is simple too. My husband loves to grill things, especially in the summer months. Your presentation is grand though and doth impress. We'll just need to buy an extra pineapple. A lovely summer dish and scrumptious.
My compliment to the chefs!
Sending you both my very best.
Sal :))
