Now You See It, Now You Don*t
A story of a peerless magician.7 total reviews

I read this story three times. I found it to be quite humorous, but in a way, an interesting story about human nature. The wife initially liked the magic, but quickly tired of it, while others did not. Her comments eventually took a toll on the magician and he upped his game. The ending was interesting, but not surprising based on her behavior.

Thank you, Thesis, for sharing my story and your incisive comments. Uncle Jerry did indeed "up his game." Rod

What a remarkable trick! I wish I could do that sometimes. I enjoyed your story which has good structure and reads fluently and engagingly. I certainly didn't see Aunt Millie's disappearance coming and, clearly, neither did she! Nicely presented too. Great image. Good luck! Debbie

An unexpected but very humorous ending - she should have seen it coming. But therein lies the lesson. Well written story. Best wishes for the contest.

What an excellent little story, it's a humdinger, I loved it, Uncle Jerry a lot more than people thought he was, a genuine magician, in fact probably a sorcerer, similar in relationship to Merlin in Arthur's court. Great post, an excellent one, blessings Roy

This is a unique story for sure. It grabbed my attention and held it from start to finish. The graphic fits nicely as well. Goodluck going forward with your work.

What an interesting read, it reminds me of that old saying-the hand is quicker than the eye, in this case it definitely sounds true, I think Uncle Jerry let that house a happy man, very well written,
"Now You See It, Now You DonĂ¢??t" you have a couple of gremlins here,
best wishes for your contest****kahpot
