Reporters think they can do what they like to get a story. I feel so sorry for people who have to go through this sort of thing. To have her own daughter tell her to move on with her life, must make Stacey feel so alone. Off to read another chapter. :)) Sandra xx

The press has a bad habit of sticking its nose where it's not wanted and doesn't belong. This is crazy to me. As a parent I would be livid.
Good story overall I kept my attention well.

Your portrayal of the press is very accurate for a lot of them. I cannot imagine why anybody would want to have a job like that. I just do not understand the appeal it evidently holds for certain people.
This is another well written chapter, Jacob, and advances the story.

At one time I wanted to be a journalist because they were a righteous lot; now they are the enemy of the people and this chapter is totally believable. Him discovering her relationship with Lucy would be devastating.
A good chapter, Jacob. Dialogue was very realistic.

I thought this exchange between Stacey and the journalist particularly realistic. Good, tight dialogue and a range of emotional responses to the situation.

Just as Stacey starts to believe, she's slapped down by this reporter who's definitely been doing his research. But why? They don't normally stalk offender's relatives after a sentence. I'm wondering if he's been paid by the real perpetrator to intimidate? But an excellent chapter, Jacob, with your usually fine descriptive detail (the lack of slippers, the chill etc).
Small edit: a man with blonde hair (draws) himself...
Thanks for sharing. Debbie

One doesn't need to be guilty for the rumour mongers to get their wicked little minds and tongues working, and coaxing others to join them. Papers and sellers of copy are delighted to condemn no matter what. This is beautifully written, blessings Roy

Wow, I can so identify with the anger and the sense of being violated where it most hurt. Again, Jacob, you write this so very well. I'm thereand I feel hurt as well. Ulla:)))

The press is bad to have on your case. They won't let us and it doesn't bother them to insult you and get you angry enough to say things they can pring. The is guy is a nasty. How horrible to know you son is in prison for murdering someone. I hope is innocent but I don't know than yet.

Media personnel are definitely a pain and in today's world rarely get the stories correct. Thank you for sharing this with us. I enjoyed reading and couldn't find any way to improve it.
