I thought your poem captured the struggle between our primal instincts and our desire to be good. You do this in such a unique way. I love the imagery. The snarling animal and the raging coals both show such intensity. Great job!

Thank you again for your complimentary review! I am so glad the poem served its intended purpose. I was at one of my children?s soccer games and was noticing how easily the parents on the sidelines started to get sort of mean with their comments- they were so hungry for a win! And realized this struggle is part of the human condition.
