Exceptional
This work has reached the exceptional level

This is a very well written narrative. It is descriptive and the imagery vividly expressed. It is something to which I can relate. My stepfather served in WW1, at the time called the Great war. Like your father, he was my hero, always relatable and strong. I saw him emotional once. It was the single time he spoke of the sadness of war.
This is a great piece, and therefore I have rewarded It as such.

That means a lot to me, RJ, as you will readily understand. I am very grateful.

Excellent
Not yet exceptional. When the exceptional rating is reached this is highlighted

This story, Monte Cassino, brings the readers to this pointed moment where the Rock of Gibraltar in one's life shows a moment of frailty that splits a child's image from awe to respect for what a human can endure.
