This is a dark poem of when one's mind has been seized by darkness. It sounds hopeless. Your picture adds a serious creep factor to it.
I might suggest doing something to make it easier to read...maybe bold the red, or switch to black font.

Hi. Did you make your poem extremely hard to read? Is it because you are trying to illustrate darkness?

You have to consider your readers. I could not read at all until I peered a long time AFTER enlarging it quite a bit.

Wouldn't you rather that I be reading your poem instead of stressing over the font and how I am going to read it?

This looks like a good entry for the contest. Good luck with that.
