We certainly live in a polarized country. What is amazing to me is that each side seams totally in capable of seeing the virtues of the other side. What's sad is that we are nearly a 50-50 split. I wish the rhetoric on both sides could be tempered and we could talk with one another rather than shout at each other.

we do live in deeply polarized times. the right-wing seems stuck in a neo-McCarthy world in which the left and the left are communists out to destroy American and traditional Christian values and the right is seen as neo-fascist authoritarians.
