Hi, Daniel. This is more of a story than a poem. A story that rhymes. It shows the vast love a father has for his daughter.It is very touching.

He feels time slipping away so fast. But there is an old saying that when a man marries a woman, the man's family has gained a daughter. When a woman marries she tends to stay with her family. Notice that almost always at thanksgiving and Christmas that the family usually go to the wife's family ? That is what is meant by that saying

I especially like this part

" Standing with confidence as you would in high heels. Trust your heart, let it shine like stainless steel. "

I think you're missing the f in for

Here did you mean contact rather than contract?

" Praying for a chance or some sort of contract."

I can definitely feel the emotion behind this. It is strong and uncertain. I feel like this could use a graphic of some sort to help convey the message a little bit better. Good luck going forward in your work.
