Ciao, tempeste: I thank you for sharing your spiritual thoughts here. As usual...you are appreciated. Your thoughts here set my spiritual thoughts to motion. They are: "Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which our Lord God, hath prepared for them that love Him." First Corinthians chapter #2 and at verse "9. Now see: John chapter chapter #11 and at verses #25 & 26. This means that Jesus, our Lord God has your back...therefore you haven't any lack. See: Psalms #23....P.S. I'm feeling you. I hear a choir singing. I hear your church bells ringing. Take Care! Keep Safe! God Keep! ....your friend...me.

That's beautiful. I used to hear church bells every Sunday but for some reason they don't ring them anymore. I wrote a story about some bells though, in memory. I like the way this piece tells a story .. progressing rather than just obeying the count.

Glad you enjoyed the read.
I would be lost without my bells..I consider them companions!
They ring every half hour.
The bell tower was struck by lightning years ago and for 6 months silence reigned.

This is a very beautiful and well written Etheree poem you have penned for the writing prompt about your church bells. You used very beautiful imagery to go with your words. Best wishes in the contest. Teri

Thank you for the kind words.
That is my church. I live about 500 metres from it.
About 20 years ago the bell tower was hit by a bolt of lightning and it took over 6 months for the damage to be repaired.
I really missed hearing the bells echo.
They ring every half hour and every hour.

The peal of real church bells are fading fast too in our changing world. An ode here, one might say, in their honor and the comfort they bring together with a reminder of one's own passing.

They ring every half hour but they are heard for many reasons besides the time.
They ring for mass every morning at 7.00
On Easter Friday they are solemn.
When there is a fire ..they are frantic
When the dam high up yonder was opened because the structure was compromised, they rang wildly. It was very eerie
I consider them friends, they keep me company.
