Thank you for sharing this contest entry with us. This is a very eerie tale. You did a great job writing this and I enjoyed reading. I want to wish you the best of luck with the contest.

That's quite the chilling tale! This starts off innocently enough, with the warm and familiar presence of Ms. Anna Arceneaux. I love how it takes a sharp turn into darkness as the story unfolds. The neighborhood's joyful innocence with the sinister events that are happening creates a sense of unease that lingers throughout the writing. The ending is truly chilling, with the emergence of Kooshma and the violence that follows. Well done!

Hi, Terrence

This looks like a good entry for the contest. Good luck with that. !

Who is speaking here?you have quotation marks but have not mentioned a speaker.

" NORTHSIDE OF LAFAYETTE, LOUISIANA - DAY**
*The summer sun blazes down on a quaint neighborhood. Children run and play, laughter echoing through the streets.*"

Is it the narrator? Elsewhere when the narrator speaks, he/she is mentioned as such. Although I found another instance

I must have a mind bent to horror . I knew how this would end from the beginning. However the twist of Anna being first surprised me. That is a
good thing. It recreshes. Puts new life into the story. Congratulations. You have done that.

Good job. Thank you for sharing.
