Hi Melissa,
This free verse poem makes the reader feel the grief and loneliness of one who has lost a spouse or a break up of a relationship before one moves on.
Keep writing and stay healthy
Have a great day.

Definitely nailed this one! I have been feeling that emptiness of late and stare at the sky hoping he is watching over me too. Perfect wording!

Your correlation between loneliness and the distant stars seems to stretch the vastness like soft taffy, growing farther apart with each pull, a certain sweetness lingering on my tastebuds. :-) Thanks for sharing.

Many a kiss had gone amiss for me. I see I was not alone as a teen, young man or old adolescent. I see you posted a second read, so let me see what's there.

Someone as wonderful and sensitive as you should never feel lonely, though I admit it's not always easy for me, also. But, God has blessed us with a wonderful world of promise.

Your poem beautifully captures the sense of longing and connection that persists despite death or great distance. The imagery of the night sky is a perfect metaphor for the distance between you and him. It shares a sense of vastness and eternity. I thought your word choices are powerful. Like the touch of lips and the tingling of your body - just makes this so emotionally charged. Well done.
