It's certainly silly:) and perfectly fits the brief! I really warmed to Billy (probably because I have a big nose myself). Your verse has such a charming, upbeat tone which doesn't surprise because your profile pic reflects a very happy lady!! Some lovely, ambitious rhymes too. I particularly like the flow and content of the second stanza. Strong message coming through too at the end. Well done, Tina, and good luck! Debbie

Thank you, Debbie, for this review! The story ended up longer than I intended, so thanks for reading it! I tend to be pretty happy, yes, and see the positive. It's better than the alternative, lol! You sound pretty cheerful in this review! Thanks again. I appreciate your input!

I can see why this was the winner! It's well rhymed and metered and a toe-tapping joy to read aloud (as I did to my grandson)--

I've never heard of a bowfin before now...

Look how smart you make me?

the nose and making ties have become the topics in this poem. You condensed a special silly poem about a fish that decided he was going to create ties to disguise his nose.

Clever does near define the quality of this poem. It flows with the rhythm of a great ocean. It brings a smile to this unsmiling face as I imagine the benefits of rolling with the tide and not resisting the currents of life. Beautifully written. I wish I had more stars to avoid this poem.

This is inventive and a lot of fun and I enjoyed this little rhyming story here about the blowfish. I saw a dead one on the shores of Acapulco once and evidently they are poisonous. I liked the (mattered, faltered, potter patter) rhyme collection at the end, much enjoyed, good luck with the contest, love Dolly x

This is the silliest poem I have ever read and it does have a lot of humor. It tickled my funny bone. Excellent work! No mistakes found in your poetry. Interesting. Thank you for sharing!

Ciao mystery poet, you now have 5 votes!

I found your story very endearing and I love the important message it tells.

Billy started off making the bowties to disguise what he felt was a physical defect.

But when he shared the bowties with others he made friends that he thought he would never have had due to his big nose.

Children need to learn to share so they can make and keep friends. Also sharing makes you feel happy.

Very cleverly written, and very humorous. Plus a couple of messages about self acceptance and sharing! Your notes were interesting also. Very well done. Best wishes. This would be a great illustrated book for children.
