I have to apologize, i did not like this. It was very well written, your writing is phenomenal, but I just did not enjoy this. I hope you don't take my words as a discouragement, keep doing what you are doing.

This one-hundred-word story, The Cheek Turning, has the proper word count and reminds me of a line from the Three Musketeers, when Aramis begins killing others after turning his cheek twice. He noted that there is no guidance after the second slap.

An interesting read. I see where she is asking for strength. It's a good message to send that you do not always need to turn to revenge. However, I didn't feel her or connect with the MC. I felt they were not fully into asking for the strenth to not fo aver revenge.

Turning the cheek and walking away can be the best remedy. This does not mean we should accept abuse; it means to be the bigger person and offer peace.

Well I would have reacted in the same way! Nobody pushes me around, Clearly written with a great ending incorporating two biblical references. And humorous as well, a full package. Well done and good luck! Debbie

The emotional intensity in your writing is powerful. You drew me into her inner turmoil. The imagery of kneeling before God and pleading for guidance shows her vulnerability and also a lot of frustration. The unexpected twist at the end was perfect! I love the dark humor. Great job!

Clarify please whether... kneeled before the Holly, whispering, "Mother, is a tree or a statuette of Christ's Mother. Sometimes it takes more than a hundred words to know the subject offerd. Good luck.

Hmm, I think or feel this may be based on something more spiritual than humorous. The ending does feel a bit abrupt but that may be the hook or the flash ending. It is well written, and I think this will do well in the contest.

Thank you so much for taking a chance on this small piece. It is hard to write in 100 words something that makes sense.

It is good, and I think the overall sentiment comes through. It really will do well. I can tell.
