Hi MariVal,
so, I read this and it took me straight back to school... yes, I the clown performing for a little acceptance within a captive audience and surrounds. It never ended well, but it created the perfect cover.
And as I visualise this beautiful scene from my own diving experiences, you have captured the image and intent perfectly as my memory brings back visions of myriad fish, eels and other sea creatures that call the coral reef their home, and yes, I have witnessed clown fish darting in and out of the coral and it is one very special sight... but underwater is another life and dimension altogether and the life that lives within the coral is a true gift to all who are fortunate enough to witness it firsthand.
You packed a lot into such a small form... and as I am never tired of saying... your presentation deserves its own merits... a stunning haiku MariVal!

My dear, James,
You are a brave soul, I am afraid of the deep ocean. I can swim but I can't surf or dive, not for me, thank you. I like to stand on land. I would be your number one fan waiting for you at the shore. Hehehe
I was in a silly mood. Sometimes I write heavy stuff and I need something light or funny to stay balanced. I usually go to haiku.

Thanks for a shaing this beautiful poem. Did you mean coral reef?
The words are clear, UT if I read it as riff it makes sense in a different way.

Wonderful poem. We had three fresh water clown fish in our tank at one point. They are shaped the same but just orangy-yellow, no stripes. One actually became very social. I enjoyed this. Gretchen
