This is quite a lengthy write. I note it says minimum 1000 in the brief so it would be a good idea to note the word count underneath your story. I like the scene you paint in the classroom and the evil Miss Hopper whose tactics of detection were not the best. I also enjoyed your confession when you addressed the reader as the errant Debbie Small. The explanation of all the characters and the part they played also gave the piece a well-rounded conclusion with the dreaded green-eye jealousy at the heart of all this. From the depths indeed! I thought this was well written. A strong entry to the contest. The tension between Miss Hopper's authoritarian demeanor and the students' resilience and determination to uncover the truth creates a captivating story that kept me engaged until the very end.
