I had to catch up! I missed a few.

This will be Lester's first experience with a coastal storm, and Willis is snapping in and out of his war-demon depressions while Artie tries to take Heddy's mind off of her brother with the piece of sea glass. Okay, on to the next! Loving this! Best, JohnC

I would say Heddy is teasing but I've heard about some of your storms, so she is most likely telling Lester the truth. Poor Lester, he was so embarrassed when Willis asked if he had a girlfriend, and he knew what had hapened between Heddy and him. But that's brother's for you. Lol. I'm off to read the next chapter now! Well done. :)) Sandra xx

I've finished reading 'Missing the Other Alex' it was brilliant! I'll leave a review later. You are such an incredible author, I love all your books. xxxx

Thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed "Alex". We call Nor'easters and Hurricanes both storms. 40 to 100 mph winds. Can be scary. Gretchen

Thank you for sharing this story with us. When I read the title, I was afraid there would be problems with Artie. I am glad it's only a storm. I understand storms can be really horrible, but no Artie problem, yet.

What a good time to add a little something about a storm in your story, since spring storms seem to be tearing the south apart this years. And for sure "it ain't the thunder you have to worry about." Thanks for sharing.

The wind is sometimes a wrecking ball. Especially the west side of a hurricane. Yikes. Thank you for this. Gretchen

I agree with Heddy. The thunder isn't nearly as bad as the the wind in a summer storm. Apparently that bit of information seems to be really scaring Lester. I enjoyed the story.

City people don't really understand a hurricane. Nothing except weathering one can prepare you. Thank you, Beth. Gretchen

Willis seems almost well as he walks Heddy to the post office to get Lester. Heddy is not reassuring to Lester as she tells him about storms close to the ocean and what can happen. The storm may be very hard on Willis.

This work has reached the exceptional level

Poor Lester, Heddy scared him. I used to be scared of storms but not anymore. I like the sound but I have never seen a really bad one.

I feel bad for willis. I hope he adjusts and finds peace.

Another wonderful chapter. I love the story and the characters.

Well done

Hi Gretchen, this is really so very well written. A six would have been appropriate, but I have none left.
I love the way they're preparing for the storm that may or may not come their way. But rather safe than sorry. But poor Lester doesn't like it so much. Ulla xcx

Poor Lester is a city boy. This will be his first hurricane. LOL. Thank you for this. Gretchen

The threat of a storm and the preparation for it is wise and it sounds like Heddy has said a few words that have scared poor Lester! I can't imagine being in a storm so bad that it lifts up a tree. Another fine chapter Gretchen, the storm brings some togetherness in the community, love Dolly x x x

Hurricanes demand respect. I've literally stayed through dozens. Inland usually gets it worse because they aren't prepared. Thank you, Gretchen

Looks like something big is about to happen. I am wondering if Artie will be alright in the event of such a bad storm. Lester will be safe with them. Interesting chapter. I liked Heddy's insight about the power of the sea to help Willis with his war demons. Well written.
