No, I have never worked at Wal-Mart, but I often have to bring my mother and I usually wait in the car while she is shopping and I see quite a bit. Also, whenever our power would go out, my late husband and I would go and walk around Wal-Mart as there was nothing else to do. Thanks for the review and the well wishes.

Thanks! I brought my mother to Wal-Mart and I was waiting in the car and saw the guy mentioned in the beginning of the poem. It just went from there.

Someone who's never been to Walmart probably wouldn't believe half of this. My husband worked there for about 5 years...oh the stories.
Good poem getting across clearly a cross-section of humanity that we might've missed otherwise!
