I wish I knew what this was about, it seems to be about being in a hospital bed, being sedated. But thank you for writing this, it was a challenge dear friend, well done, blessings Roy

This is a very interesting poem you have penned about going under for surgery. I have experienced that in my life. When I came to I was shocked i was in recovery like you said. Good job! Teri

I thoroughly enjoyed this poem and the rhythm which follows the state of mind of the writer. The poem creates anticipation in the reader. The repetition creates impact, well done.

I could relate to this. I had emergency operation to have my child and as they lowered the sedative over my face I asked if they had done this before as if I were interviewing in the middle of an emergency. I has trouble waking out of the anesthesia and I thought I was in Mexico because I saw a sign over a door entrance. I kept thinking it was Spanish although I'm an American and speak English. I reason en tran ce.
Sp, your poem truly illustrated what I've known.
Well done

This is such a creative description of a person's perceptions through each stage of a surgical procedure. Your repetition makes for a nice echo in a mind that is no longer running on all cylinders!
Personally, when I got the pre-anesthetic sedative, I started saying a lot of stupid stuff. Nothing that could remotely qualify as poetic.
Nicely done and really enjoyable to read!

Your poem made me laugh thinking back of how I felt I'm the operating table myself. I really like the flow through pre , during and post sedative. And the repetitive wording like echoes of word drifting off to the distance just how your mind does when they put you under. Well done, very enjoyable
