It took me a couple of beats to get it. Not used to seeing sheep in a field LOL

Nicely constructed haiku

A question? Is sheep a kigo for summer?

Blessings, Julia

Thank you, Julia. It's a summer haiku when the grass is juicy and green. LoL I guess it can be any warm season.

Nicely written, haiku. I love these little poems. I have read them all, but I do not have time to review them all. I am moving on the 18th of May to be closer to my sisters. They will help me with things. And they want game night! What fun. We are all cutthroat. We win fairly equally. I have missed them. Good writing. Karen

This imagery in this was phenomenal. I have watched videos of border collies herding sheep and it does look like that. Then they merge together and become one big dot that morphs and separates to become polka dots again. Wonderfully written. Gretchen

It's true from a high hilltop the sheep would look like polka dots. I wonder if from Heaven we look like polka dots. Jesus is the Good Shephard. I doubt it since He knows everything about us. This is another beautifully written poem. Thank you.

I guess the sheep are polka-dotting the grassy fields? But on our lawns these days, it's the dandelions which are dotting the grass and there's no hope in winning the war.

Thank you very much for big sister. I like dandelions but it is a weed. Young and old make wishes.

I really enjoyed this Haiku. The phrase polkadot grass field really sets the imagery in my mind and is a perfect description of what a large herd of sheep would look like on a field from a distance away. Thank you for sharing.
