This was powerful. The image of missiles streaking through the sky shares a sense of fear and destruction. The second line - with the mention of mothers weeping for their children brings home the human cost of violence. Well done!

I like this it is really powerful stuff and as relevant not as it was seventy years ago. The second line is quite complex but I have a feeling it is not quite right. As it is you have multiple mothers crying over a single child who possesses both mothers. This could be correct but is it actually what you mean? 'Mothers weep while babes die' would be simpler.
