simple and sweet! One thing I am a little confused by is what the phrase show down means, but i also am attracted to the mystery. it makes me stop and think about it. maybe i just haven't encountered it before and that's on me. the mixing of tenses in the first line is also really cool.

So much feeling within just two lines. My only question is if "show down" is supposed to be "slow down." Either way, it's still excellent, keep it up!
