I thought this was very powerful. For me your poem captures the struggle against despair so well. I enjoy the message to embrace life with resilience and determination. I especially like the line, "Life kicked my ass, but I kicked it back." That's right! What a wonderful poem you have shared here!

I really like that it is a good positive message to all. Waiting rarely changes anything for the better, I always say if you feel like doing nothing; just do one thing each day. I was intrigued by the homophones waisted and wasted, I read it a life not nurtured is a wasted soul (meaning wasted away) this is not what you wrote, was I wrong?

I agree, a life not lived to its fullest is a wasted life. I am trying to slide into home plate saying,"Yep, I did everything I wanted to and more."

We can let life kick us or we can kick it back. I've had a number of trials in my life, and I've always tried to overcome them by keeping on trying to do the very best I can. This is a nice poem. It's hard to read though because of the small lettering and the little contrast it's in the wording. I only know what it says, because I was able to listen to it. Patric.
