Hi Debi, with the world going mad, your acrostic is timely and your message is clear. Of note:
O ffer rainbows, not the rain
(Nice)
Well done. Congratulations on your win. Xo. M

Hey my sweet SOTU, I need to apologize for this being so late. I only had two that were so far back, but sometimes it is hard when new ones come in to know what is still out there.
Thanks for being so sweet with this one. I appreciate the congrats too, dear sister. You are the best. I hope you always know that. Love, Debi

Ms. Marquette undertakes a rhyming challenge that has to maintain a thematic focus in "Compassion." I think her assiduous attention to rhyme and meter make this pedagogical poem a bit sing-song, and compassion is a topic that requests a certain gravity of movement and phrase. Compassion can be epitomized by endless captivating and individual examples, and such examples would be more powerful than what is achieved within this poem that makes compassion more direct and simple than it truly is likely to be. (By the way: Hi, Debi!)

Hahahahaha! Oh, Frank, I do miss you something fierce. You are maybe right, but you should know me by now that I write from my heart and it may never change. But don't you dare ever give up trying to get me to
. Actually I may have won the contest and yes, I did it in perfect meter and monoryhme, but I agree I was in a bit of a head fog that day, so I happen to agree with some of what you said. But boy, if that is what it takes to get you over to my side, I will screw up more often. LOL...
Gosh, I love you Frank, and like I said, I sure have missed you but haven't had a chance to review much as my lupus has been causing me problems so I am just happy to be still writing.
But don't you get soft on me. I hope you give me the benefit of your knowledge more often. Thank you. Now I will try to come see you soon.
Take care and thank you, my treasured friend. Love, Debi

Hi Debi
This is a well done.acrostic. It define the word and reminds who taught us about it. The picture shows even the kids understand this, sometimes better than adults do.
Keep writing and stay healthy
Have a great day

This is a wonderful acrostic poem and certainly deserves all the accolades. The accompanying picture is so sweet and perfectly complements the poem. Each line is expressive and urges us to be compassionate. Very well done!

-Nice image and presentation, Debi.
-Congratulations on the win.
-You did a good job with this acrostic.
-A good topic, font choices, and rhyme.
-You show a lot of compassion in your poem,
beginning with the first line.
-You also make a good point about
not complaining when so many others
have situations beyond their control
and have worse hardships to bear.
-I like the line about rainbows and
the concluding line.
-Very well done; I can see why you won!!
-Have a great day and rest of your week.

I really enjoyed this, Debi. Very inventive and resourceful to maintain the one rhyme scheme throughout the offering. A deserved winner, in my book. Well done!

Hey! Congratulations on the win, Debi!
Your presentation is phenomenal.
Not only rhymed, but mono-rhymed!
The message is something the entire world should heed...

This is quite the compassionate acrostic poem.
And you even managed to place a picture of a cat, thusly winning over Fanstorians across the board!
Ha!
Good stuff.

Dearest Douglas. Actually I picked the picture because it looked like a compassionate picture. I didn't care if it was a cat or a horse, as long as it showed compassion. LOL.. Silly boy, that is how I match my art to my post.
Thanks for the kind comments my friend.

Such a beautiful and touching piece of writing. The picture is adorable. So many people lack compassion these days. We need tons more of this in the world.

"Offer rainbows not the rain" is a wonderful line that gives the reader a good feeling. You have a smooth poetic flow of words that adds to the strength of your theme. Your vivid use of words clearly defines what compassion is and how important it is to be compassionate. I also like how you mention Jesus in your words.
