This is cute poem. It would wear you out to try and make it match the song in length. There is nothing quite as aggrivating as trying to put a puzzle together and have that last piece missing. I've alwalys enjoyed the song.

lol. As soon as you pack the rest of the puzzle away, it will turn up. Have you checked out the contents of the vacuum cleaner? Have you got a dog who might have taken it away and eaten it? lol. I sense your extreme frustration. Well written poem.

It was fun. I wanted to exactly mimic the song, but wanted to rush to post.

I like Hanks snow's version better than Johnny Cash's as well. Before I got to the part of it explaining what it is, I was already humming the song.Enjoy the weekend. Karen

This is a fun one mixing your poetic words with an old tune. Exaggerations are a part of many old country songs and you've got the rhythm right. Only change might be to keep tense right by using search(ed).

I didn't even need the song. I got it! Truly enjoyed it, too! What a pain in the neck some things can be! I lost a tab from my old computer keyboard once. I looked everywhere. It never showed up, either. Maybe there's something cigar work like in the movie "The Time Machine" where Rod Taylor sends a cigar into the future.

    Hah!
Most frustrating is finding the piece long after the puzzle is gone.
Thank you for identifying in your very kind review.

So, this is what we're doing now, Wayne? I have The Long Black Veil inspired story ready for Sunday.

You had fun with this one, I can tell. There's always one piece to every puzzle that gets lost, and you don't realize it until the rest of the puzzle is put together. Look everywhere, but you won't find it. The vacuum will:-)

A fun read.

    Thank you.
    It was a 'must' write.
I regret just a little that I didn't put in the time to exactly mimic the song.

This poem/lyric, I've Looked Everywhere, Man, follows the basic concept as the search sends the puzzle piece seeker to everywhere that a puzzle piece will not be found.

Enjoyed your fun poem and your repurposing the song for looking for a puzzle. I'm sure you've been in a LOT of places as you were doing your pet sitting job.
By the way, Johnny Cash wasn't the original Everywhere Man. It was "Australian country singer Geoff Mack in 1959 and made popular by Lucky Starr."

Thank you. I wasn't aware of its first singer. Hank Snow was my favorite. And thank you for your very nice review.

Oh my gosh, that's a cute Poem Wayne. I've never seen one on this subject before, but it begged to be done! Yes, the ode to the missing puzzle piece, lol. It always seems there's at least one.

Take care, and thanks for the smile,
Rhonda

Good ole Hank Snow "I'm Movin' On" comes to mind every time I hear his name, and I bet he had been about everywhere man, he had been every where. Thanks for sharing.
