A delicious recipe for your morning tea, all nicely served in a well-crafted nonet (checked and fitting the format:)) You complement this with a delightful image and aptly coloured font. The only shame is that the 2nd and 3rd lines slightly misshape the triangle but that's being pedantic! Well done and good luck! Debbie

Your description of your tea sounds like my usual latte, which is made with honey, cinnamon, and whole milk.
This also reminds me of an Etheree I wrote about coffee and my coffee shop. We think alike:-)
You've hit all the syllable requirements here and tell us a story about you, which I enjoy.
Ideally, I know the lines are supposed to angle down toward that single word a little better - like an upside down pyramid - but that's tough to do and perhaps the committee will overlook it.
I do wish you luck in this contest.
Take care,
Pam

I enjoyed your Nonet about your morning tea. I love a cup of tea as well.
I'll have to try the cinnamon and honey and cream. Sounds delicious/
Good Nonet form.

I think you did a good job visualizing what the poem was about. It had my senses perking up. I can't speak for anyone else, but I think I want a cup of tea...lol. good job

Hi Gansach,
You make me want to go and have some tea. This is a well done nonet.
It is ironic that you end your poem about tea with a slightly alterd slogan for Maxwell House coffee.
Keep writing and stay healthy.
Good luck in the contest
Have a great day.

Thanks so much--if I leave you wanting tea, I feel my work is complete. The ending does remind one of Maxwell House, but I was thinking how the honey, being heavy, settles in the bottom of the cup & makes the last drops sweeter. Thanks again!

You're welcome, gansack. I understand.

With all the odes to coffee I've read, this came as a breath of fresh air. You chose your words well, and you got the syllable counts right. Thank you for sharing, and best wishes to you.

This poem beautifully captures the simple pleasure of starting the day with a cup of tea. The imagery of honey soothing and preserving, combined with the comforting feeling it brings, creates a sense of warmth and familiarity. The addition of cinnamon adds a subtle spice to the routine, enhancing the overall experience. The mention of Earl Grey breakfast tea sets the scene for a peaceful morning ritual, with each sip bringing a sense of contentment. Overall, a lovely poem that celebrates the small joys in life.

An excellent entry for the Nonet poetry writing prompt. As a tea drinker I can feel this poem in my heart. I have never actually tried cinnamon in my tea although i loved it in my coffee. I might need to try it now. Good luck in the contest.

I like how you prepare your tea. I could get used to starting my day this way. You describe your ritual vividly. Do you stop with just one cup? Rod

I actually do, just the morning one. But on rare occasions--a chilly evening--I have sought the comfort of another cuppa. Thanks so much!
