Tough thing here to tell a story with but 50 words, but you seem to have accomplished such!! I would suggest, perhaps, that 'deadlines' are not 'opened'... also, your verb tense throughout is not consistent. Such a fun idea for the contest!! Thanx for sharing and best of luck in the contest.

This is very difficult to do to write something in only fifty words. I am very new to this as I usually write poetry, but I always come up with a story and write it down. Then check the word count, at this point, I will usually have to start removing words or rephrasing. Always keeping it making sense and being reader-friendly. This reads like a rough draft, an outline, it is a start but does not quite seem finished. Time to work on it yet. If you do I will happily read again and re-star.

Very clever story. I enjoyed reading it. I think it is hard to write 100 word story. You did it well with 50 words. Very interesting . Great job
