I love this beautiful free verse. it brings peace to ones mind picturing
the soul listening to God's calling it home.
Beautiful imagery. I'd like to bookcase it and come back to it when i need peace of mind. Thanks so much for sharing.

Nancy, I would be honored. That is why I write to bring a smile to someone's heart. Thank you. :)

This is a nice bit of free verse! I can see it used to honor someone who has passed. I am one who appreciates punctuation, and I'm glad you used it! I might suggest using past tense or present tense, but not switching between them. The poetry feels peaceful. It's soothing to read!

Thank you, R. Lynn. :) I'm glad you enjoyed it. Switching is one of my faults.

HI
This is a well done free verse about a conversation with God/Jesus. It seems it is a soul getting directions to Heaven by starlight.
Keep writing and stay healthy.
Good luck in the contest.
Have a great rest of the week.

I absolutely loved the way you used bold and italics to point out the differences in who is speaking. Your last line, "I am home," was wonderful. Thank you for sharing, and best wishes to you.

That is really good. The problem is I am reading all the entries for the free verse competition and they are all so good except one. I am afraid, I am going to have to vote for that one. Otherwise, I might not get a vote at all. Good luck in the competition.

Hello :)
I enjoyed reading your poem.
I love the peacefulness and the sense of calm and belonging as one's life ends and eternity begins. I also really like the way you have presented your words, the placement of each line and the varying size and font is effective.
Good luck in the contest.
Best wishes, Debra
