Whoa! This should be called the survivors poem. I love the line "our memories ... swept under times carpet." That was such a powerful image. This was awesome. Gretchen

Why would somebody not read your beautiful poetry? We are all blessed by reading it. A love lost is devastating. I think most of us have been there. Your poem does a wonderful job describing that pain. Once again, a perfect presentation.

a really nice hope-filled poem of being a survivor
nice imagery and smooth flow throughout...
like the light blue and the butterflies between each stanza - feels like flying free..
nice.
thank you for sharing
shelley :)

Ambivalence is never a nice feeling to experience from someone you love. Unfortunately, I have been there before, but by far, I have seen more women than men be the recipients of this.
You words are touching and stricks a deep note.

I'm so thankful that you are still here! How would I meet you? And your life is so much more valuable to the many of us who love you. But now you are stronger and can compassionately help those who are hurting because of giving their devotion to one who didn't deserve it!

Oh yes, I think our minds can muddle and think that somebody we desire, but in reality with bring us to our knees, our desires lie to us, which is covered in Jeremiah 17:9, "Our hearts are deceitful...."well done, blessings Roy
