Ciao mystery poet, you now have 8 votes!
I enjoyed reading why you like bananas.
This is my favourite line :
Bananas though, are quite a thing,
they always make my tastebuds sing!
I had no idea bananas helped us be regular... I thought they were constipating. Never to old to learn!
For the plantains I fancied this verse!
Those vile, skinny, green pretenders,
want to be yellow-sweet contenders.

This was a great take on the banana vs. plantain contest. I loved your rhymes, and you did a great job with the first half of the poem on bananas and the second half on plantains. Thank you for sharing, and best wishes to you.

Hi
This is a cute and funny poem extolling the virtues of bananas over plantains. I don't like either. But I would trust bananas more than plantains. The two best green fruits are green grapes and Granny Smith apples.
Keep writing and stay healthy.
Good luck in the contest.
Have a great rest of the day.

I'm with you on grapes, not so sure about green apples though. Thanks so much for reading my silly poem. :)

An excellent entry for the Banana Akbar writing prompt. I think the point could be no clearer. Bananas are the fruit of the gods while plantains suck and defy the odds! Keep on fighting the good fight. clever and nicely written. Good luck.

I had a nice chuckle when reading this entry. That is always a good thing. Clever rhyming and nice formatting placed within a good argument for the banana as the best fruit lends to a complete poem meeting all the contest requirements. All the best in the competition.
Cheers
