This answer to the prompt with such a coordinated image and poem is witty. And it is true, really more so than many think at first,
but upon pondering the comparison, most people realize how truthful the theme is. It speaks of beauty more than just outward.

A good entry for the Senryu you writing prompt. An ode to carpets is something we don't see nearly enough of these days! I am just glad that I won't be the one having to clean that one. lol Nice analogy between the dirt that kills the beauty of a carpet and the dirt that rots the beauty of a mind. There's way too much of that these days as well. Nice job. Good luck.
