We were on vacation for over a month in Benissa, Custa Blanca North, ( I was painting) and we both said we have to move here!!!
Similar weather to Southern, Ca.

Okay, Joan. I see what you did here l. Very nicely played.
Now I have to wonder who carved out that hand and for what purpose. Very odd, yet creative.

Thanks for the nice review, Doug.
It was created by an artist with a chain saw on a tree killed by lightning.

That's a great story a bout that tree!

I agree, D.

Wow, what an eye-catching post and I'm sorry I'm so late coming to it. You've crafted (if you excuse the pun) this especially skilful verse to complement the image. I love the way the tree/arm comes from the soil or ashes of death and then rises towards the heavens on its spiritual journey, creating a paradise on earth. Very profound and an inspiration to read. We can't help but be in awe of those mighty trees! Well done, Joan. Take care Debbie

What a delightful path you paint. And your image presents the story of life to death and then the ultimate journey thereafter so vividly and graphically. Superbly done. And worth every one of those six stars. Thank you.

A hreat picture this inspired poem posting. I just completed mine today and will be letting it go with the final review. This artist did a fantastic job reminding man how all below heaven is interdependent on each other doing their part to make sure we can continue to survive. Thank you for sharing your poetic interpretation of the picture Blessings to you

Wow! This amazing wood sculpture art, again--so creative!
"From death
Come a hand" Comes--not come.
Oh yes, indeed, if we can all figuratively shake one another's hand to achieve peace in this world, then life would be like paradise, as we all live in peace--before eventually going to heaven.

Bravo on this one! The artwork is certainly stunning; did everyone in the Picture This club get the same art? Fascinating concept. I loved your word choice, especially the image of that hand reaching up to shake another. Well done!

Thank you for sharing this beautiful picture to go so well with your thought provoking words.
The hand reaching towards the heavens after death. In a way, we all will go through that moment.

I very nearly missed this one as I thought I had read it before, have you reused the picture? I am pleased I did read it because I enjoyed it however simple it is it packs a big message, one we can all get behind.

This is an amazing sculpture of an old tree. How masterful the man who took many days to make it! God made the tree and man made the hand pointing to heaven. I loved how you wrote about the hand. And wish you well in the club entry. K xx
