DragonSkulls,

Congrats on winning the 3-2-1 poem contest. This is a excellent example of expertly created verse. Your short but creative poem is unique and speaks precisely to the challenge of composing a poignant poem in 6 syllables.

All the best,

Eugene

Ciao!

I always wondered if chopping up a word was allowed in poetry , I see it is. I learned something.

Reading your poem now I thought of this version instead of ridiculous:

Laughable
Stupid
Dumb

Personally I think the less the syllables just makes the challenge more interesting.

You 're not a fan of 5-7-5, or shorter formats like 5-3-5, or 2-4-2 .. I love them.

Keep safe!

Thank you for the review, T. I agree, writing something deep and meaningful with as few of words as possible is a challenge. But I'll admit, there's pretty well nothing anyone can write in six syllables that's going to touch my heart or leave me in awe. You're right, I'm not much of a fan of the 5-7-5s or shorter for the same reason. I just think the daily prompts should offer a little bit more of a challenge, that's all. I'm glad you like the short contests. Keep an eye out, I'm sure tomorrow's prompt will be relatively close.

I used ridiculous on purpose, for humorous effect. I guess you can break words up like that. Lol.

Have a great rest of your weekend, Tempeste and thank you again.

Hahaha.

Very cute and clever. I love the pic with that No Nonsense/You've Got to Be Kidding Me Mom (or Teacher) face!!

Wouldn't it be great if this is the one that makes it to the Winner's Circle! Good luck to you. xo

Lol. I didn't even think about it but she does look like she could be a teacher. All the better. Haha. I wanted to get kindergartens in there but that would have used up 5 of the 6 syllables I had to work with. It's a shame the contests are reduced to this just so people will enter. God forbid we have the challenge of writing something like a simple sonnet within the time limit required. Nope... here's a 3,2,1, be creative with that. Geez. It's discouraging. So why not gripe about it? Haha. Thank you for the great review and stars, Rachelle. I'm glad you liked my little rant.

Oh the sass! I love the poem with the picture you chose. Very good job! I never knew that you could break up words into different lines. That's interesting. Good job!

You will be getting my vote! because I agree and now I'm going to talk about the weather for 150 characters and if I'm desperate, my bowel habits. :-)

HAHAHAHA. Thank you for the hilarious review, Julie. I know, right? 150 character for a six syllable piece. How asinine is that? I'm sure your bowel habits are something worth discussing, as are mine, but we'll save that for another time. Lol. I really appreciate the generous rating and support, J. I'm glad you liked this silliness.

I'm so relieved you have a sense of humor. I began to doubt myself after sending that, but I thought you HAD to have a great sense of humor after that AMAZING piece of poetry you did!! :-)

Lol. Yeah, not too many people on here do have a sense of humor. A lot of times I write just to annoy them . Lol.
