I hope spring decides to make an appearance for you soon as snow can be hard to deal with. I haven't seen snow in years, but I am often reminded of the disruption it causes with poems on Fanstory. A fine poem, love Dolly x x x

I have nothing but respect for anyone who lives in Alaska. It is such a beautiful place but I know for sure I would never survive. Thepoem was very descriptive and fun for the reader, but maybe not so much for the author. lol Thanks for sharing.

Your title made me smile! I think you Alaskans are such a hearty bunch. I wish I could send you flowers! I know I can't complain to you when it gets cold here. Do you know Tom Botts? I know you know Marie. Fun poem!

Hi Helen!
We had some warming and melting in March, but I never let myself get fooled into believing it won't snow in April lol every day so far this week! I do know Marie. Does Tom live in Fairbanks? I don't think I have met him. Thanks for the fun review!

I don't know Alaska geography. He's in Wasilla. I'll ask him to look for you this month as I know you're not here most of the year.

Wasilla is about 50 minutes from Anchorage. So, 300 miles or so from here

That's a lot of ice in between!!

This was quite a complicated poetic form to use but you aced it. It must be tough to live in such harsh winter conditions. You chose a Great photo to accompany the poem too.
Well done!

This is a very well written poem about wishing for some spring where you live. It has to be depressing at times to have cold and snow all the time. I love snow, but we hardly get any. Thank you so sharing this with us. love and blessings, Teri

Shoveling is something I have never had to deal with; well, I kind of did. Lived in Chicago for a blink and in Denver for a breath... both times when I left those frozen places; I swore never to live in any place where the weather could kill me. So far I have kept my promise to myself... Great Job and Good Luck.

Thank you so much, Diana! It is fabulous to see you're still here at Fanstory. I always try to make it back for NaPoWriMo, but don't post much the rest of the year. I am glad to hear you landed someplace warm!

Oh, how I don't envy you. I lived in Crested Butte, Co for 7 years and nearly froze to death. It was cold into Spring, also. Down here is San Antonio it's gorgeous.
Good luck with your NAPOWRIMO. i I did that once. It's a challenge. but fun if you pick a topic you ca write a lot about.
Best wishes,
Katharine
