This is a very neat Two Meaning 5-7-5 poem you have written about Easter. The little children like the rabbit and chicks for Easter, but Jesus Christ is the real reason and He is coming!!! Best wishes in the contest. Teri

This is very clever, and captures the intention of the contest perfectly. The more one thinks about this poem, its simple complexity is wonderful. Terry.

This was an excellent 5-7-5 poem with two meanings. I feel bad for even thinking about the Easter bunny, though. Thank you for sharing, and best wishes to you.

Jessi, thank you very much for your very kind words for my 2 meaning poem. I do believe that the Easter bunny is fine as long as he knows his place. LOL

That is a clever one, author. I've read a couple of them, and they really do have the double meanings. Yours is excellent, and I like the way He said, I will come again. That has the two meanings too. Well done and good luck in the contest. :)) Sandra

Unknown wordsmith, an excellent compression of these 17 syllables for
this double entendre...Your ambiguity is intentional for said contest, and for the tradition of the Easter Bunny (as depicted by selected picture), and
a more pious tradition of Easter Sunday: The Christian celebration of Jesus
rising from the dead...Your words have captured "Two Meaning 5-7-5 Poetry" perfectly! Good luck. teafor2

Hello Poet!

I hope everyone gets the message and realizes that Jesus Christ is the only way to Heaven. This is an important message.

Good luck in the contest.

I am sorry Dovey, but I did not catch my autocorrect that made your name Dover. Sorry about that.

Witty double meaning in this poem.
Successfully fulfilled the line and syllable criteria for the contest.
Ironic, though, that some might prefer the gift from the fake Easter bunny to that from Jesus. Where do our beliefs/values lie?

This is terrific! I wanted to enter, but couldn't think of one thing to write about. Apparently, two meaning poems are not my forte. Best of luck in the contest. :)

This is a strong contest contender and offers an important message for anyone who wants to read between the lines. Easter, also often called Resurrection Sunday, goes unrecognized by too many others and that is a sad thing. Easter is about the future joy that will last for an eternity.
