I'm not sure about reincarnation but I honesty think we are born with some fragments of memories of our ancestors. I do think when children are young, they say things about stuff before they were born and it's factual. That's gotta come from somewhere. Great poem. Soul mates are intertwined forever. Gretchen

I believe the spirit and soul never dies and the body just changes form.
Keeping memories inside through lives makes sense. My daughter used to cry for her grandpa who died from cancer before she was born and we didnt tell her about it, she was little.. She also got sad whenever she saw people smoking. She said other things. She has an old soul.

Thank you for the Author's Notes about reincarnation. I was actually thinking that with your words "at the shore of infinity" which just felt so rich and nearly palpable they fit together so beautifully. Oy! Such a knack you have!
I used to not believe in reincarnation, but then I read that it would explain savants and prodigies, and I had to acquiesce that it does. The music teacher in me actually loves the idea that someone's life work and expertise can be replanted into a new soul. It feels like such a perfect circle to me. Otherwise, it's like a beautiful dessert that just goes to waste.
Thanks for a(n obviously!) thought-provoking read, Gypsy. That's how you know when it's a great write: when people do more than just review it and say, "Okay - NEXT?!" This one's going to stay with me all night. Thank you for that.

I believe the spirit never dies and the body just changes form. There is no birth and death. Like a cloud never ceases to be...it just changes to rain to fog to cloud etc
