I see a renewed spirit in your words, as well as a new sense of confidence. You have been through a lot, and it is nice to see the transformation. I think a lot of things are like that in life. It seems to take the challenges and set backs to get us to see what we have to be thankful about.
I like the section about flavors and how it shows your inner spirit so things will get better. I also agree with this statement: "Yet everything worth having is worth working hard for." You did a really good job with this.

I have to share something funny with you, though your post wasn't meant to be humorous. This line:
As I awake to hear a nightbird's song bringing in a spectacular dawn
We have this idiot Mockingbird that sits outside of our bedroom window and all night long it goes through its repertoire of calls, as it copies everything else. So recently it picked up a new sound to copy: that of the UPS truck backing into my driveway. I recognized it right away. Beep beep beep, over and over and over again, as we are trying to sleep! My nightbird is not bringing us a spectacular dawn but a sleepless night!
Anyway, thanks so much for sharing your invigorating view on life!

Goodness, Jesse, it sounds like you have found a way to stay positive throughout all your physical traumas which usually lead to mental stress.
