This must have been a difficult story to write, but you have done an excellent job of taking the power from your abuser. You might, after all this time, let some of your family members read this. You never know what young person in your family may be enduring this same thing at this time. You were obviously one of the children who knew how to endure in silence.

I liked the simple, straightforward approach you chose with which to tell this heart-wrenching story that ended in triumph, albeit rueful triumph. I'm sorry that you had to endure the devastation, but I'm proud of you for having made such glorious lemonade from your lemons. Other people shrivel up and stop participating in life. You chose to HELP people, instead, and I applaud you loudly for that.

I hope this story does well for you in the contest, but, if it's any consolation, it touched ME, and I'm very glad I had the opportunity to read it today. xo

You know, sometimes people take the time to truly touch another? and that?s what you did for me.

A sad but powerful story and it is very well written. You put yourself on the page and show us your courage, your resilience, and most of all, your big heart. How blessed others are to benefit from your courageous story.

I am so happy for you.
Well written. Good work.
Too many girls and young women lack your courage. Or knowledge of God's love.
Best wishes and good luck in the contest.

I am sorry you were abused like this and you did well to stand up to your abuser and tell them that they would not be in your life again and that hey had hurt you beyond all comprehension. Your story is familiar to many who have been in this situation and I am glad you realised that this is not your fault and that you feel healed now. Thank you for sharing this well-written harrowing story, love Dolly x

This is a very difficult story to read without becoming emotional. As a father of a daughter my heart is saddened by any child that has or had to endure this cruelty.
I am pleased that you found the strength and the voice to stop that abuse.
This is a well written heartfelt life story. Your paragraphing is fine, but because of the format when posting, you might want to space them with the space bar.
Keep strong, and thanks for your work with children who are going through this ordeal.

This is an account about a momentous achievement, a watershed in your life, when you decided that the one person you had to protect, after all that time, was yourself. Your fine, confessional story skilfully builds towards this realisation that you had the strength and belief to put this abuse and its stain on your past behind you once and for all. Your courage, evolving from fear, is inspiring and well done for sharing your new-found freedom and revelation with others. The one thing I would say about your presentation here, however, is that it would have been more readable for reviewers if you'd used a larger font and double spacing between paragraphs. But this is a strong entry for the contest and I wish you luck. Debbie

Thank you so much, Debbie. I guess I just am glad I finally wrote about it. I just wish I could handle the posting correctly. I had uploaded a picture? and thought I had used a larger font? I?ll try to get help from a family member next time they come, lol. Thank you for reading it and for your words, Loann
