An excellent entry for the Lune Poetry Contest. This is a powerful statement made in only three small lines and I'm sure will resonate with many daughters out there. It struck a chord with me immediately. Nicely done. Good luck in the contest.

Thank you for your review, again. I'm both glad it struck a chord with you, and also sad. :) I wish I could help my mom stop being jealous of people, but I am trying to accept that changing her is not my job to do. It's hard. So I write poetry instead! LOL!

This is a great message for all! It really is hard to be bitter when counting blessings! I'm sorry you have that conflict with your mother. It's something a lot of us can relate to.

Thank you for your review, R. I agree. It's so funny that my mom taught me to be grateful, and yet.... she has a hard time anymore being grateful. I hope I'm not like that when I'm old. :( My grandma wasn't like my mom. And she lived to be in her 90s. I think stress kills. To be grateful, one has to let go of stress. So hard. I hope you have lots of blessings.
