Lotus flowers are very pretty. I have a pond out back. We used to have koi in it till a flock of cranes found them and ate them. Have not restocked it.

Beautiful flowers indeed. It would be neat to have a koi pond. For your last line, you might mention something specific about them instead of saying they were in your neighbor's garden. Tell something about their color, for instance. What do they remind you of? judi

I didn't know you could have a koi pond in New Mexico because I always think of how hot and dry it is there. But it's so nice that your neighbor had that lovely koi pond with lotus flowers!

Thank you for taking the time to review this. I appreciate it very much. Yes they did have quite pond in New Mexico. It was in a very shaded spot. This particular gentleman lost all of his Koi fish, though when we had a straight line wind come in and picked up all of his fish out of the Koi pond and they were destroyed. He said he had about $8000 worth of fish in the pond.
