This 5-7-5, Resurrection Flowers, has the proper formatting and reminds the readers of the related stories that accompany the subject of the Resurrection of Christ. Neat.

Author,
I love your sentiment in your brief, yet deep poem.
I like the Bible verse that shows Jesus prayed for his cup to be lifted. Sometimes I pray like that, asking Jesus to take my suffering away.
Great presentation.
Good luck with all your writing.

Hi, teafor2
All lilies are beautiful and sacred.
White lilies have a special significance in Christianity. I did not know about the mount of the olives.
I know the ancient Greeks worshiped olives. Anybody caught damaging an olive tree would get capital punishment
I learned a new word Gethsemane Normally, I would say don't use big words in your poetry. You force your reader to go out of your poem to look something up online and to come back to your poem. You just make it more likely that somebody's going to skip your poem
But, in this case, I can see why it's appropriate
I enjoyed reading your poem
Good job. Thank you for sharing.

Pamuart, thanks for your discerning comments and candid remarks...
I will certainly keep your 'word' use suggestion in mind. I am grateful. teafor2

A beautiful, God-Honoring 5-7-5. Just one small comment: It may be more grammatically correct if your second line red, "Gethsemane's garden sweat". Just a small suggestion.

Comment from Pam (respa)
-Very nice artwork and presentation, teafor2.
-The syllable count is good, along with the topic.
-You set the scene very well with Jesus' prayer
in the garden of Gethsemane.
-A very good concluding line that
shows the beauty that came from sacrifice.
-A good entry; good luck in the contest.

That's a pleasant image and well presented, thanks for sharing. Difficult to say more about a form which is so short.
You might want to change the final word on the third line I know you mean sweet and that is how I read it. Otherwise it is not quite so pleasant.

Roy, I also read that Mary's tears caused this particular flora to grow
and thus, the Easter Lilies, and here may be others...I saw/read that it's recognized as Christian Symbolism for the Resurrection. teafor2
-
But Mary?s one of us, Matthew 12:46-50.
-
Roy, I've even read that lilies grew in the Garden of Eden where Eve's tears of
remorse fell. teafor2

I'd never heard of this before. (Don't ask me how I avoided it as everyone in my family that I've asked has heard of this!)
The reason, then, that Lilies are the flower of Easter, I wonder?
It's such a lovely thought for Holy Saturday.
Happy Easter tomorrow!
