What a beautiful and unique flower. I've never seen one in a garden before. They remind me of the Jack in the Pulpits I have. But the colors of these slippers is just magical. If they can grow in Minnesota, then PA should be possible. I will be investigating! Your poem is lovely and clever with the reference to fairies. A great entry for the 575 flower.

What a wonderful poem. Lady slippers are delicate flowers. The image does look like a shoe, so unique. When you walk in the woods, they are growing wild.

5-7-5 with rhyme! What fun! I like the way you included the name of the flower and pushed the association in the body of the piece. It's not easy to make these short forms stand out, but this one works. All hail to prancing fairies!

An excellent entry for the 5-7-5 A Flower Writing Prompt. This is lovely and very creative. Having fairies wear them as footwear is delightful. The rhyme of dance and prance is an added bonus. Very nicely written. Good luck in the contest.
