I like to think of the yellow heads bobbing in the sunlight... bringing a brighter, sunnier spring to chase the winter away. Good job! Good luck in the contest.

I think this is 5-7-5 is simply lovely. The daffodil representing the start of Spring gives the poem a liveliness and is a nice way to express the adage 'out with the old and in with the new.' A great initial post (I also see you've recently joined Fanstory (like me) so wish you the best of luck on your writing (and reading) journey x Kelly

Yes, I think this is my third day. There's so much to learn. I wish you all the best too, and thanks for the lovely review.

Yes, they do brighten the day, with their golden colours felling fields with sunshine. The painting is also beautiful, an excellent choice to accompany your words. Best wishes for the contest.

Welcome to Fanstory! This is a great entry for the 575 contest. Daffodils are one of my favorites. They are cheerful and often show up when winter is still threatening. Nice job!

A fantastic flower. Daffodils are great to write about. They represent lots of cheer and sadness. Love the color and the thoughts when thinking about this flower.

Excellent haiku, Hull, good luck in the contest! These haikus's and senryu's are a challenge to get your point across but they are a blast to write if done like you have done, correctly

An excellent post for the 5-7-5 A Flower Writing Prompt. Lovely description of a daffodil. Tiny suns unfurling to brighten your day. This is a nice first post as well. Welcome to Fanstory! Thanks for sharing and good luck in the contest.

I liked this 5-7-5 about a daffodil. It was very cheerful. Comparing the flowers to suns was cute and made springtime seem close at hand. You picked a really good picture to go with this, too.

When daffodils are mentioned, I always think of the William Wordsworth poem, daffodils, he grew up in the Lake District, a beautiful, aqua abundant area of England, beautifully written, welcome to fanstory, good luck, blessingsbRoyn

Thanks so much! Here, we have places where daffodils grow beside the road and once they appear spring is nver far behind.

Congrats on your first milestone, a Nature poem. You make us see the daffodil's bright petals--much like tiny suns. Indeed, these flowers will brighten anyone's day. Rod
