I expect this poem is rather political as we are told lies in order to vote for someone, promises are made and we hope that the truth prevails, but we are often disappointed, a poignant post, love Dolly x

Guess the poem is political to some degree; much more about the human condition. It's up to each one of us to do our part to change.

This sounds like it comes from someone who is fed up with what they are seeing. Usually, I'll wonder if the writer has something deeper that they are battling with. Perhaps, they have masked the true issue with something outside of them. This is usually the case for me. It is so hard to be honest with myself.

Thanks for looking deep into my writing, Bryce. While I might be "fed up" with what I am seeing and hearing these days from the media, from people who are sad with their life but don't try to change it. I, however, have found my truth and it changed my life.
