I enjoyed reading your poem. I hope you enjoyed writing it just as much. I like hoe you use the colors black and white to show how you feel about the subject.

I sure did! Yeah the black and white visuals are really fun to work with. Thanks for noticing. 🦍

I like your poem, but it is difficult to read. Wondering if you could make the print a little clearer.
Puppy love is definitely what we give our pets if we feel the unconditional love of our puppy dog. Does Ms. Harris like her dogs?

Thanks! She likes to eat them in this poem ; ) No politicians in either party get to escape my scathing satire!
I'm quite fond of the feel of this font, but I agree it is somewhat difficult to read. I will add a version in the notes with a different font, and here is a copy of the text as well.
When up late and taking shots
I think of all your gorgeous spots
You got the cutest polka dots
Dreams of them give me the hots
I love the part of you that's white
Like a flower, clean and bright
It's my tastebuds you excite
Lighting up my winter night
I crave the part of you that's black
When you whimper in that sack
Hear my jaws go snicker-snack
Ready for my midnight snack
I can't live a life that's grey
With one hungry look I slay
I'm praying for my perfect prey
Dinnertime? Please say you'll stay
P.S. your new profile pic is pretty stunning (or maybe I didn't see it before!)

I enjoyed the humor in this poem, as well as the picture. It made me think that I should also start writing about various political characters. Yes - I think you should turn this into a song!

Thanks! And you should! I will likely host some (more) contests about that pretty soon. Satire is a way better outlet for me than having an actual political argument. 🦍

LOL that was a good, clean laugh. It was a hot, passionate love poem. Good entry for the contest.
I really like how innocent and pure the second stanza sounds. "Like a flower, clean and bright" reminds me of "Like a diamond in the sky," from "Twinkle, Twinkle." And then that's contrasted by the dark side, the sack being a clever reference to "in the sack" as well as a literal sack to contain and abuse animals with. =X
I'm a little confused by the artwork, only because the dog featured in it isn't a dalmation. Also, I live under a rock and am probably not understanding some other Kamala Harris reference other than the middle name you mentioned. But it's still funny.
My only comment that's not overwhelmingly positive is that the font styling is hard to read. The red and black contrast is hard on the eyes. But I like how it fits the Cruella theme so much that I wouldn't suggest changing it.
This poem is very well balanced. It's got both yin and yang. Everything, down to the title, was well planned out and executed.

Thank you very much! Much appreciate the kind words and your sharp observations of all the details that went into it. I keep tweaking the text shadowing and just went back to the way it was originally, which should be a little easier to read. On the fonts, you're spot on ; )
Kamala and puppies is a recurring horror story theme on this site, lol. I'll tell you the origins after this contest is over.
