Easter is around the corner. Spring time is in the offing. Pretty dresses, big hats, shiny shoes, I have pictures of me all fancied up for easter when I was little. What heady days. Good Work. Karen

But you can't really have an Easter until we first have what is called Passion Sunday. It sort of reminds us of the reality of life. We will also experience death. But it's the dying before death (the Passion) that we will have a teachable moment. Thanks, Karen, for the review. -

The author's words are engaging,
heart felt and creative. Thank you for the author's notes - they are
kind and meaningful. The last line of this poem is a reminder to me not to forget God's promises. The artwork goes well with this poem!
Great Poem!

Thank you, Harmony, for what I call a textbook review. That is not a criticisml You validated what a free verse should address and you validated that.
Again, thanks.-Bill

Hello,
I've started by reading your notes. Young people passing away so young is always a tragedy.
Now I'm going to read your poem.
It's beautiful and sad. Besides, it combines several very interesting topics. At times I wondered if you were thinking of Jesus or of Bill.
Thanks for sharing.

This is a very beautiful poem you have penned with the help of Bill L. This is a very beautiful picture you have used. I hope that Bill L. had asked Jesus into his heart before he took his last breath. That would be so wonderful, because He would be with Jesus now forever. Thank you for sharing this. Blessings, Teri

Teri, Bill was the lead teacher for the Senior Hi Sunday School class; a regular liturgist and regularly visited shut-ins. When he contracted AIDS he was asked not to teach; no visitation to the elderly; ate alone with plastic utensils at podlucks. As he was dying, not even his pastor visited him. Given all that, who do you now think
is in need of asking Jesus for a change of heart?
Thanks for the review, Teri. -Bill

That is wonderful all the things that Bill had done. I would think He is with Jesus and seeing Him face to face! That is where I want to be! Thank you for letting me know! I meant no harm about Bill. Thanks! Teri

No harm taken, Teri. You are one of favorite people on FS and you wanted for Bill what I wanted for Bill. He died holding a piece of bread in his hand to remember that Jesus would never abandon him and would always be with him.

That is so precious! I can't wait until I see Jesus and now Bill! Bill you have always been one of my favorite people period. May God bless you always my friend! Teri

Thank you, Teri. It's good to know that there are people like you in my cheering section. -Bill

A beautiful thought about the flowering hillsides which had not struck me before, as we have Easter in autumn here in Australia. (There's always an inconsistency for us with eggs (representing new life) and rabbits etc and other meaningless distractions.) I very much enjoyed your thoughtful poem. Thank you for sharing it.

Hi there,
This poem truly deserves a six, but I'm out right now. Your words remind us of the Passion of the Christ, and remind us that there was also the pain of losing the life He had here on earth.
Your author's notes touched me. I'm so glad you shared that your patient, Bill L, was able to help with poetry before he passed.
Thank you for sharing and bringing His light into my life,
~Mustang~

One thing we must never forget or lose sight of, Jesus died once for all time. He died so that we may live. Jesus was dead for three days only. He was resurrected as a living spirit in heaven and lives eternally. As a matter of fact, like his father, he lives beyond eternity.

But let us also never forget what he went through before he received death. Thanks, Nomi, for your review. -Bill

This beautiful poem reminds us that we are able to enjoy the rebirth of nature every year because of His death and rebirth. I was also thinking of Bill, who helped write this poem and who is enjoying beauty right now that we can't begin to comprehend. Beautifully written and perfect to Easter. Thank you for sharing.

Hello William,
This is such a wonderfully penned poem and perfectly timed with Easter coming up in a few days.
Your words touched my old heart and made me realize even more that
Jesus Christ is truly our Savior. And the only One who can deliver us from this troubled world that we now live in, into God's awesome Kingdom of Heaven. A Place where there is no wars or threatening of wars nor political corruption, murders or hatrid and the list goes on and on.
Thank you William for reminding us that all the believers will take our Heavenly flight, when it's our time, to God's "Kingdom of Heaven." A Place where there is nothing but love and peace throughout all eternity.
May God bless you and your family...Happy Easter...Bill
